A clinical affiliation agreement between Purdue Global and the site is a central approval step. When an agreement already exists, a commonly used planning range is about 2 to 4 weeks. Final approval belongs to Purdue Global, and site onboarding also controls when clinical activity can begin. The student should track the preceptor CV, affiliation status, application items, compliance steps, and facility requirements without assuming a clinician's verbal yes permits hours.

The four Purdue Global MSN NP tracks are FNP, AGPCNP, PMHNP, and AGACNP. Commonly published planning totals are 640 clinical hours for FNP, AGPCNP, and PMHNP, and 520 for AGACNP. Students should verify the current handbook and enrollment term instead of assuming an earlier cohort's plan still applies. Credits are organized on the quarter system.

Purdue Global also has post-master's certificate pathways and an online DNP accredited by CCNE. A commonly published DNP minimum is 1,000 postbaccalaureate practicum hours, but the current handbook and the student's individual record control. HLC provides institutional accreditation, while CCNE applies to nursing.

State eligibility should be confirmed for the exact program and term before placement commitments are made. Then map course dates to the affiliation and onboarding calendar. The correct hour number is not enough if the patient population, preceptor role, site, or approval timing does not fit.

The standard Purdue Global practicum is local and in person even though coursework is online. Telehealth can sometimes support supervised learning, but the program, course, state, site, patient location, preceptor setup, and current counting rules all have to align.
