What we do

Our Services for Purdue Global NP Students

Purdue Global asks you to be the lead advocate for finding your own clinical site and preceptor. That is a heavy lift on top of full-time coursework, work, and family. We do that advocacy with you. Our service is built around three things that actually decide whether your practicum starts on time: sourcing a qualified preceptor near you, moving the clinical affiliation agreement between the site and Purdue Global, and clearing the compliance paperwork before your first clinical day. We are an independent placement service. We are not Purdue University, Purdue Global, or the CCNE, and we do not replace your Clinical Student Manager.

Three pillars of what we do

Most placement delays trace back to one of three failure points: you can't find a willing preceptor, the affiliation agreement stalls, or a compliance item is missing on day one. Our service is organized around solving each of those directly. Here is the work, in order.

1. Source the preceptor

We find a qualified, willing preceptor in your specialty and within reasonable distance of where you live. We start from your track, your state, and the population you need clinical hours with, then do the outreach: we make the calls, send the introductions, and confirm a preceptor who is licensed, practicing in the right setting, and open to taking a student for your rotation window. You can read more about how this works on find a preceptor and by specialty for FNP, AGPCNP, AGACNP, and PMHNP.

2. Move the affiliation agreement

The clinical affiliation agreement between the site and Purdue Global is the single biggest bottleneck in the whole process, and the timing swings widely depending on whether the site already holds an agreement with Purdue Global; see clinical affiliation agreement for the full timeline walkthrough. What we own is the legwork on it: we check whether the site already has an agreement on file, route the right documents to the right people on both sides, and follow up on a schedule so it never sits idle in someone's inbox. Because this is the step most likely to derail a start date, we treat the agreement as the first thing to chase, not the last, and we flag it the moment a site looks like it has no existing relationship with the program.

3. Clear compliance

Before your first clinical day, the site and your program both expect a clean compliance file: background check and immunization clearance, any site-specific onboarding, and your hours and evaluations set up in your program's clinical tracking system. We help you assemble and submit these on time so a missing form doesn't push your start date. We point you to the requirements, track what is outstanding, and keep the file moving. More detail lives on clinical compliance.

Who this is for

Our service is built specifically for Purdue Global MSN nurse practitioner students completing 100% online coursework with a local in-person practicum, across all four tracks, plus post-master's certificate students in those same tracks. Required clinical hours differ by track, so we confirm the exact number against your current Purdue Global handbook before we plan your rotation window; the published per-track figures (which are commonly cited but not guaranteed) are laid out side by side on clinical hours.

  • FNP Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • AGPCNP Adult-Gerontology Primary Care.
  • PMHNP Psychiatric Mental Health.
  • AGACNP Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, whose hour requirement is commonly published lower than the three primary-care tracks; we still confirm it against your handbook.
  • Post-master's certificate students pursuing any of the four tracks above.

If you are early in the program or just got your practicum requirements, that is the best time to reach out: the affiliation agreement timeline rewards starting early, and an earlier start gives us room to source a preceptor in a tighter geography or a harder-to-cover specialty. You can also review the full list of specialties we support.

What is not included

We want to be plain about the edges of our service, because honesty here protects you.

  • We do not replace your Clinical Student Manager. Purdue Global supports your placement through the University and a Clinical Student Manager (CSM). We work alongside that process; we don't stand in for it or override it. Your CSM remains your point of contact inside the University.
  • We do not guarantee school or board decisions. Approval of a site, a preceptor, or your clinical plan rests with Purdue Global. Decisions about licensure, certification, and board eligibility rest with the relevant boards. We move the work forward, but those approvals are not ours to grant.
  • We do not guarantee timelines. The affiliation-agreement windows you will see on our site are typical, not promises. A site can move faster or slower than usual.
  • We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Purdue University, Purdue Global, or the CCNE.

What we do own is the legwork: the sourcing, the follow-up, and the paperwork that otherwise eats your weeks. You can see the step-by-step on how it works.

Where to start

The earlier we begin, the more room we have to absorb a slow affiliation agreement or a site that falls through. If you have a practicum coming up, tell us your track, your state, and roughly when your rotation needs to start. We will tell you honestly what is realistic and get to work on the preceptor and the agreement right away.

Reach us by WhatsApp, SMS, or the form on our contact page. There is no cost to ask, and no obligation to start.

Questions

Good to know

Do you replace my Clinical Student Manager at Purdue Global?

No. Your Clinical Student Manager (CSM) and the University remain central to your placement. We work alongside that process, doing the sourcing, follow-up, and paperwork, but we don't replace or override your CSM.

Can you guarantee I'll be placed by a certain date?

No. We can give honest, typical timelines for the affiliation agreement, but those are ranges, not promises. See our clinical affiliation agreement page for the full breakdown. Starting early is the best way to protect your start date.

Which Purdue Global programs do you support?

The four MSN nurse practitioner tracks (FNP, AGPCNP, PMHNP, and AGACNP), plus post-master's certificate students in those same tracks. Coursework is 100% online; the practicum is local and in person.

Are you part of Purdue Global?

No. We are an independent clinical-placement service. We are not Purdue University, Purdue Global, or the CCNE, and we are not endorsed by them. We help you complete the placement Purdue Global asks you to lead.

What do you actually handle versus what I do?

We source the preceptor, drive the clinical affiliation agreement between the site and Purdue Global, and help you clear background check and immunization clearance and set up your program's clinical tracking system. You provide your requirements, sign what's yours to sign, and stay enrolled and in good standing with your CSM.
