Terms of Service
These terms explain what our service does, what it does not do, and the ground rules for working with us. We are an independent clinical-placement assistance service for Purdue Global MSN nurse practitioner students. We help you secure a qualified preceptor and move the affiliation and compliance paperwork forward, but several outcomes are controlled by your school, the clinical site, and your licensing board, not by us. Please read this page in full before you engage us.
Who we are, and who we are not
We operate purdueglobalpreceptor.com as an independent service that helps Purdue Global MSN nurse practitioner students find clinical preceptors and complete the steps needed to start a practicum. That is the whole of our relationship with you.
We are not Purdue University, Purdue Global, or any school, department, or office within them. We are not the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or any accreditor. We are not endorsed by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any of these organizations. Nothing on this site should be read as an official statement from your university or your program.
Purdue Global asks each student to be the lead advocate for identifying their own clinical sites and preceptors, supported by the University and a Clinical Student Manager (CSM). We do that advocacy with you. We source the preceptor and move the paperwork. Your university, your CSM, the clinical site, and your state licensing board remain the authorities on what is acceptable, and their decisions govern.
What our service includes
When you engage us, we work to do the following on your behalf and alongside you:
- Identify and approach prospective preceptors who match your track and your geographic area, across all four NP specialties Purdue Global offers.
- Confirm a preceptor's willingness, credentials, and fit for your rotation before presenting them to you.
- Support the clinical affiliation agreement process between the site and Purdue Global, and help move that paperwork along.
- Help you organize the background check, immunization clearance, and other compliance steps a site or your program may require.
- Coordinate with you and your CSM so documentation reaches the right place at the right time.
You can see the full picture of how this works on our how it works and services pages.
What we do not guarantee
We work hard to secure a qualified preceptor and to support your affiliation and compliance process. We cannot guarantee outcomes that other parties control.
- Site and preceptor acceptance. A clinical site or preceptor may decline, withdraw, or become unavailable for reasons outside our control.
- Affiliation agreement approval and timing. An affiliation agreement is negotiated between the site and Purdue Global. When a site already holds an agreement, this commonly takes a few weeks; a brand-new site that must negotiate one from scratch can take a month or more. Read more on our affiliation agreement page. We help start the process early, but we do not control the school's or the site's legal review.
- University and CSM decisions. Your program has the final say on whether a preceptor, site, or rotation is approved.
- Clinical hours and program requirements. The clinical-hour totals we cite are figures commonly published for this program; we confirm the exact requirement against your current Purdue Global handbook. Your handbook and your program govern. See clinical hours.
- Licensure and certification. These are determined by your state board and your certifying body, never by us.
Because of this, we do not promise a guaranteed placement, a specific start date, or a fixed turnaround beyond the general ranges described elsewhere on this site. Where we describe timing, we describe it as a range, not a promise.
Fees and payment
Where fees apply, we disclose them to you in full before you commit to anything. You will know the amount and what it covers before you agree to proceed.
Our fee is earned and due once a preceptor is secured for you. Securing a preceptor means we have confirmed a qualified, willing preceptor matched to your track and area and presented them to you for your placement. The fee is for the placement work we perform; it does not purchase approval from your university, the site, or any board, since those decisions are not ours to give.
If you have questions about whether a fee applies to your situation or what it includes, ask us before you commit. Our cost page covers this in more detail, and you can reach us through our contact page. We do not invoice you simply for an inquiry or for early-stage conversations before a preceptor is secured.
Information on this site is general, not advice
The content on this site, including timelines, hour figures, accreditation notes, and process descriptions, is general information to help you plan. It is not legal, academic, financial, or clinical advice, and it is not a substitute for your official Purdue Global program materials.
Programs and requirements change. Always confirm specifics against your current Purdue Global handbook, your CSM, and official university communications. Where this site and your official program materials disagree, your official materials and your university govern. If you need legal or professional advice about a contract, your licensure, or your education, consult a qualified professional.
Your responsibilities
For us to do our work well, we rely on you to participate honestly and promptly.
- Give us accurate information about your track, your location, your timeline, and your standing in the program.
- Complete your own compliance steps, such as background check and immunization clearance, when they come due.
- Communicate with your CSM and respond to your university's requests on time.
- Keep us informed of changes that affect your placement, including changes to your enrollment or your availability.
Delays or inaccuracies on these items can affect timing and, in some cases, whether a placement can proceed at all.
Communication and contact
We communicate by WhatsApp, SMS, and our contact form. We do not operate a public phone line. When you reach out through any of these channels, you agree that we may respond using the same channel.
Please do not send sensitive personal documents through unsecured channels unless we have asked you to and explained how. If we need protected information to advance your paperwork, we will tell you the appropriate way to share it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our responsibility to you is limited to the placement-assistance services we agree to perform, and our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us for those services. We are not liable for the decisions or actions of your university, your CSM, a clinical site, a preceptor, an accreditor, or a licensing board.
We provide our services with reasonable care, but we make no warranty that any particular outcome will occur, because the controlling decisions belong to others as described above.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as our service or the law changes. The version posted on this page is the current one. If you have an active engagement with us, material changes that affect that engagement will be communicated to you directly through the channel we use to work with you.
If anything here is unclear, reach out before you commit. We would rather answer a question early than have an expectation go unmet later.
Good to know
Are you affiliated with Purdue Global or the CCNE?
No. We are an independent clinical-placement assistance service. We are not Purdue University, Purdue Global, or the CCNE, and we are not endorsed by or affiliated with any of them. Your university and program remain the official authorities on your clinical education.
Do you guarantee I will be placed?
No. We work to secure a qualified preceptor and to support your affiliation and compliance paperwork, but final decisions belong to your university, your Clinical Student Manager, the clinical site, the preceptor, and your licensing board. We cannot guarantee outcomes that those parties control.
When do I pay, and will I know the cost first?
Where a fee applies, we disclose it in full before you commit to anything. The fee is earned and due once a preceptor is secured for you. You will never be surprised by a charge, and early inquiries are not invoiced. See our cost page for details.
Is the information on this site official advice?
No. Everything here is general information to help you plan. It is not legal, academic, or clinical advice. Always confirm specifics, including clinical-hour requirements, against your current Purdue Global handbook and your CSM, which govern if anything differs.
How will you contact me?
By WhatsApp, SMS, or our contact form. We do not operate a public phone line. Reach us anytime through the contact page.
